Swimming Pools
In June of each year during ‘pool filling season’ our water systems can see 300% of normal use!
This heavy use on the system can result in having low pressure and precautionary boil water advisories.
The RM is now implementing an odd/even schedule for pool filling - odd address number fills only on odd number calendar days, even address number fills only on even number calendar days.
We are also asking pool owners to help by following these tips:
- Fill early in the season – Fill as early as reasonable - Don’t wait until the weather is hot.
- Fill at night when other uses are minimal – ideally from 12:00 midnight to 6:00am
- Use a small garden hose to fill and only open the tap ½ way.
- If you notice low water pressure, reduce, or stop the filling process until pressure resumes.
